“We all know the inconvenience of carrying a target to discharge your arrow or shooting it into the ground after the hunt – the Raider 400 combines the convenience of de-cocking and speeds up to 400 feet-per-second at a price-point affordable to all hunters,” said Phil Bednar, CEO. “The new Tactical Stock adds a new level of versatility to this crossbow while making it our lightest ever at 5.8 pounds, and the addition of a lighted scope brings tremendous value in an American Built crossbow at $749.”
The NEW Tactical Stock features an adjustable butt stock that locks in six positions and allows for up to 2.5 inches of adjustability in five different 1/2-inch increments. Designed to provide adjustability and versatility for all shooters, the stock dramatically reduces the overall weight of the crossbow as well – making it easier to handle.
The Raider’s patented D-1™ Trigger is Wicked Ridge’s smoothest trigger ever. This 2-stage, zero-creep design includes a new DFP™ (Dry-Fire-Prohibitor) and delivers a consistent crisp, 3.5-pound pull. The simple push of a button moves the trigger to “de-cock” mode and allows the user to safely de-cock the crossbow with the built-in ACUdraw De-Cock crank cocking device or to manually de-cock the crossbow with the Rope-Sled.
The patented ACUdraw De-Cock silent cocking and safe de-cocking system features the company’s patented Auto-Brake Gear System that eliminates the potential of losing control which can lead to injury or costly bow damage during the de-cocking process. While de-cocking with the ACUdraw De-Cock, the user can remove their hand from the handle at any point and the handle will stop in place.
In addition, the easy-to-operate ACUdraw De-Cock reduces the effort required to cock the crossbow to just 5 pounds and is equipped with a 1,000-pound strength Nylon strap to reduce wear and abrasion.
The Raider 400 De-Cock features a powerful 185-pound bow assembly consisting of a lightweight cast aluminum riser and machined aluminum limb pockets fitted with 11” WRX™ double-laminated limbs. Powered by speed designed, 5S Cams™ and DynaFLIGHT 97 string and cables, the bow assembly measures a narrow 15-inches wide and drives an arrow downrange up to a blazing 400 feet-per-second.
The Raider’s lightweight stock is molded from glass filled polypropylene, configured with optimal comb-height and length-of-pull, and features tactical cutouts to reduce weight and improve balance. In addition, large safety wings on top of the crossbow’s foregrip help prevent a shooter’s foregrip fingers and thumb from moving above the flight deck while shooting the crossbow.
Upon easy, 1-bolt assembly, the design measures an easy-to-handle 31.5-inches long.
Pre-sighted at the factory for 20 yards, the Raider 400 De-Cock is double-dip fluid imaged in the PEAK XT™ camo pattern.
